September Stuff + Exciting News
Howdy everyone! It is September, Green Day has gone to sleep for the next 27 days, and we have three big announcements coming down the pipe here at The Bike Library.
First things first: we are getting an additional container at Lake Raleigh this fall. It will function as a storage space so that the original container can become more of a true "shop" as well as a lounge space. It's fun to feel like we're growing out of one container. As always, massive shoutout to Jude Desnoyer at Centennial Campus for being such a huge catalyst for TBL's success.
Second: there is a new event calendar that is still under construction but is intended to be a starter guide to some of the rides around town. This is embedded on the Greenway Gear Collective website under the "calendar" section. You can also add it to your Google Calendar if you'd like! Just press the little "plus" button under the calendar below.
Third: As you can see on the calendar, this upcoming Sunday, September 8th, is the first Basic Maintenance Class at TBL! It will be focused on... you guessed it: the basics. The ABC's of bikes – Air, Brakes, Chain. How do you change a tire? How do you check your brakes for safety? How do you properly lube a chain? Come on by and we can help you out! Bring your bike if you want to get some hands-on experience fixing your own rig.
That's all for now. See you on Thursday for coffee outside at the container.
