November at The Bike Library: Community Rides, Maintenance Workshops, and an Outdoor Adventure

November is shaping up to be a month full of outdoor activities, learning opportunities, and community gatherings at The Bike Library. Here’s what we’ve got planned for the coming weeks, plus a recap of our latest Art Appreciation Ride.

11/2: Art Appreciation Ride Recap

This past Saturday, The Bike Library hosted an Art Appreciation Ride—a no-drop, casual community ride exploring the incredible, often free, art around Raleigh. We’ll plan to do a similar event about once a month, visiting different exhibits, murals, and installations.

This past Saturday, we started off at The Bike Library, cruised over to Historic Boylan Heights, and stopped at Floravita in Birdland by The Grid Project, featuring works by four artists in various mediums, all exploring themes of Memento Mori.

We then rode into Downtown Raleigh to view some murals on our way east. Our final stop was at the Wetland Center for Brood Awakening, a collaboration between Katie Stewart and Jay Ross celebrating the community’s efforts to protect Raleigh’s watershed.

We wrapped up back at The Bike Library, inspired by Raleigh’s hidden art gems. If you’re interested in discovering local art and connecting with others, join us next month!

Okay, now for the fun stuff coming up...
