TBL/GGC Activities This Weekend + Next

Alright, alright, alright... let’s get down to business!

This Sunday, we’ve got a couple of things on the agenda for you (yes, you) to enjoy and participate in, if you’re up for it. TL;DR – there’s a bike maintenance class and a fundraiser ride.

Sunday:
10am-12pm: Basic Bike Maintenance Class. We listened to your feedback from the first session and have fine-tuned the workshop to make it even better. Hooray! Sign up using this link and come learn all about bike maintenance. Seriously though, don’t forget to sign up! Oh, almost forgot – the sign-up link is right here.

12pm: Right after the class, we’re heading out on a short fundraiser ride to support Western North Carolina nonprofits. You can check out the list of nonprofits here and donate to any one of them. Show us your donation confirmation of $25 or more, and you’re in for the ride! Donating is the only requirement. Yeehaw!

Next weekend, Saturday the 19th at 11am, we’re kicking off the first-ever Lake Raleigh Adventure Series. Hosted by TBL/Greenway Gear Collective, this monthly outdoor adventure series is open to students, alumni, and the public. Our adventure guides are NC State Alumni, Jeff and Debra Rezeli, the 97th and 98th finishers of the Mountains to Sea Trail, and the #1 ranked 2-person co-ed team in 2020 by the US Adventure Race Association.

Each month, Debra and Jeff will lead events to introduce you to adventure race disciplines like hiking, trail running, orienteering, paddling, and more. The first event will be a hike through the beautiful Lake Raleigh Woods. Stay tuned for more information and registration.

Happy pedaling!

Cameron likes bikes and coffee. Find him at a coffee shop around town and he will probably smile, wave, and say hi. Unless he's deep in The Thought Cavern. In that case, your mileage may vary.
